Credo Bank announces a vacancy for the position of Head of Digital Products Quality Assurance Department

Purpose of position
The Head of Digital Systems Quality Unit ensures end-to-end QA execution for the bank’s digital banking solutions, enabling safe and predictable releases through testing, automation, defect management, and release readiness practices. This role manages QA leads and teams in the digital scope, maintains domain QA playbooks and test assets, ensures test environment and test data readiness, and applies department-approved QA standards in delivery.
The position is essential for improving customer-facing quality, accelerating delivery through stable automation, and driving continuous improvement with Product Owners, Analysts, Developers, and DevOps.

General
  • Understand and support the Credo philosophy and objectives;
  • Conduct all activities in compliance with Credo policies and procedures;

  • Protection of confidentiality of information obtained in the work process;

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all Quality Assurance activities within the Digital Systems domain, including Daily Banking, Non-Credit & Credit Products (My Credo), Internet Banking, Video Banking, BMA, and BIB.
  • Own and maintain domain-level QA playbooks, ensuring consistent application of departmental standards across delivery.
  • Define, propose, and implement test automation tooling and strategy aligned with domain needs and department direction.
  • Actively participate in the creation, review, and continuous improvement of QA policies, standards, and procedures in collaboration with the QA Department Head and Team Leads.
  • Translate department-level QA strategy into executable, domain-specific plans across manual and automated testing streams.
  • Own and maintain domain-level QA playbooks and working instructions, ensuring consistent application of department-approved QA policies and standards; contribute practical improvements and change proposals to the QA Department Head based on delivery outcomes.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), providing QA input on timelines, resource needs, risks, and recommended testing approaches.
  • Oversee the creation, execution, and continuous refinement of test strategies and test plans for all domain projects.
  • Ensure quality control of system functionality, integrations, dependencies, performance, and overall solution stability.
  • Manage QA resources across multiple teams, balancing workloads and priorities between manual and automation streams.
  • Ensure proper documentation, effective test data management, and readiness and maintenance of test environments.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and present statistical and analytical reports on QA activities, risks, and outcomes for the domain
  • Act as the primary QA liaison for business and technology stakeholders, ensuring timely feedback on requirements, risks, and quality concerns.
  • Mentor and coach Manual QA Team Leads and Test Automation Lead, supporting leadership development and performance growth.
  • Participate in candidate evaluation, interviews, and hiring decisions for the unit.
  • Oversee inter-team dependencies and ensure seamless collaboration between manual and automated testing teams.
  • Hold explicit ownership of specification review and testability gates, test environment readiness, and test data governance.
  • Monitor release testing activities, participate in defect triage, own release gate checklists, and conduct post-release analysis.
  • Define, track, and continuously improve QA KPIs for the unit.

Managerial Responsibilities
  • Inspiring and motivating employees;
  • Ensuring the training, development, and knowledge enhancement of subordinate employees;
  • Monitoring and supporting daily operations;
  • Defining annual objectives/projects/KPIs, evaluating team members, and monitoring individual goals; Conducting annual performance reviews of completed work and subordinate team members (EPR); Managing poor performance;
  • Providing timely and constructive feedback;
  • Planning necessary work resources and ensuring proper task allocation;
  • Recruiting and developing employees, and identifying successors for key positions;
  • Maintaining continuous communication with subordinate employees regarding company/department updates;
  • Managing work schedules, vacations, and other administrative matters;
  • Monitoring labor discipline and responding to violations;
  • Overseeing compliance with internal policies and procedures, corporate values, and the Code of Ethics, and responding to violations in accordance with the Bank’s disciplinary HR policy;
  • Ensuring a positive and healthy work environment.

Work Requirements / Qualifications
  • Higher education; preference will be given to candidates with a background in Banking, Information Technology, Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing testing / quality assurance functions, including at least 2 years of experience in test automation.
  • Practical knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks, including Selenium and Java.
  • Good understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and integration of automated testing into delivery workflows.
  • Strong skills in business process improvement and development.
  • Knowledge of current trends and innovations in technologies and computer software.
  • Well-developed administrative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Georgian and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to set, prioritize, and balance multiple tasks and objectives.
  • Ability to manage conflicts in a positive, constructive, and impartial manner.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven team leadership and people development capabilities
