We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional for the position of Chief Accountant in Tbilisi, City Tower, 70 Vazha-Pshavela Ave.
Work schedule: Full-time (10:00–19:00, Monday to Friday)

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and support the accounting team through effective task coordination, performance monitoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Oversee financial accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Perform and supervise all reconciliation processes, investigate discrepancies, and ensure alignment between internal records and external statements.
• Control trade and non-trade Accounts Payable aging and reconcile with Brand Partners’ Statements of Account.
• Manage reconciliation of clearing accounts (PR/PO/GR/IR) and monitor open items.
• Reconcile e-commerce transactions, Cash on Delivery, and courier Statements of Account.
• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of annual financial statements (SARAS) and monthly/quarterly statistical reports.
• Ensure accurate and timely tax declaration submissions, including VAT and CIT, and manage tax compliance and related risks. Submit a list of taxable transactions to the audit team for income tax reporting.
• Establish, maintain, and improve internal controls in line with corporate policies and local regulations.
• Coordinate with internal, external, and tax auditors, ensuring timely provision of required documentation.
• Provide financial analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making.
• Manage payroll accounting, staff cost control, and reconciliation of Payroll Liability Accounts.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certifications (ACCA/CPA/CA) are highly preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Solid knowledge of Georgian tax legislation.
• Experience with statutory audits and preparation of SARAS-compliant financial statements.
• Proficiency in IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Experience in supervising accounting teams.
