Credo Bank is seeking a Customer Data Domain Owner
Department: Data and Core Banking System Department
Reports to: Head of Data and Core Banking System Department
Job Purpose
Manage and improve the structure, quality, and consistency of customer-related data across banking systems, enabling operational efficiency and data-driven decisions. The role focuses on practical data management within customer-facing processes and systems (e.g. Core Banking Systems, CRM), helping ensure that core customer data is clearly defined, trusted, and usable across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Business and Data Alignment
- Collaborate with business units (e.g. operations, product, CRM teams) to define and refine customer data requirements.
- Ensure consistency and clarity of key customer attributes like PII (Personally identifiable information), type, status, segment, and risk level.
- Serve as the go-to person for questions about customer related master data structure and meaning.
Data Quality Oversight
- Review and monitor key data fields for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in data cleanup efforts and work with IT/data teams to resolve issues.
- Provide input to data quality rules and suggest improvements when data issues are found.
Documentation & Change Support
- Help document and maintain basic data definitions, mappings, and usage examples.
- Review how changes to systems (CBS/CRM) impact customer data structure or logic.
- Participate in UAT and validation activities when data-related changes are rolled out.
- Manage customer-related Data Flow Diagrams (DFD).
- Write Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for data structure improvements, coordinating with squads as needed.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Liaise with reporting, Data Quality (DQ), CRM, and CBS support teams to ensure aligned use of customer data.
- Support projects or change requests where customer data is impacted.
Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Data related field.
Experience
- 2–3 years of work experience in banking operations, CRM, or data-related roles.
- Experience using or supporting systems that manage customer data (e.g., CBS, CRM tools, reporting platforms).
- Experience working with structured datasets and basic knowledge of data models or reporting frameworks is an advantage
Skills & Attributes
- Solid understanding of customer onboarding and servicing workflows.
- Familiarity with basic data concepts: data fields, formats, duplicates, reference data.
- Good organizational and documentation skills.
- Experience in writing business documentation (definitions, mappings, BRDs) will be preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Excel, SQL or reporting/query tools.
- Strong communication with both business and technical teams.
- Detail-oriented with an accountability mindset for data quality.
