Elcore is an international distributor of equipment for information systems, consumer electronics, software, cloud services, and cybersecurity solutions. Founded in 2006, the company operates in 11 countries across Eastern Europe and Asia.

We are expanding our data center solutions business across the countries where Elcore operates. We are looking for a Presales Engineer who will become the technical lead for this business area, designing solutions, delivering partner training, and providing technical support throughout the sales process.

Experience with a specific vendor is not required. We value hands-on experience in designing and implementing data centers on any platform. We will support you in obtaining the necessary vendor-specific certifications.

Reporting Structure and Scope of Responsibility

The position has a dual reporting structure:

Administrative reporting: Director of Elcore’s Georgia office.

Functional reporting: Elcore Group’s central engineering team, with which you will work closely to maintain consistent design standards, exchange expertise, and jointly support major projects.

The role covers several countries where Elcore operates and involves business travel, as well as remote collaboration with partners and customers across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Partner Training and Competency Development

Conduct technical workshops, seminars, and training sessions for engineers at partner companies across assigned countries.
Organize partner certification tracks in collaboration with vendors.
Develop training materials, including technical presentations, demo scenarios, and technical guides.
Organize and provide technical content for presales events and roadshows.

Solution Design and Architecture

Design customer-specific data center solutions covering compute resources, storage systems, and network infrastructure.
Prepare Bills of Materials (BoMs), technical specifications, and responses to tender documentation.
Develop and adapt technical requirements in collaboration with partners and customers.
Perform solution sizing and performance calculations, and develop high-level and low-level designs (HLDs/LLDs).

Proof of Concept (PoC) and Demonstrations

Prepare and conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements for strategic customers.
Maintain demo environments and test infrastructure.
Deliver solution demonstrations to both technical and business audiences.

Technical Support for Sales Opportunities

Present and defend solution architectures to technical stakeholders through workshops, technical meetings, and responses to technical objections.
Collaborate with commercial teams and Business Development Managers (BDMs) on strategic opportunities.
Handle the technical aspects of project registration in vendor portals.

Collaboration with Vendors and the Group Engineering Team

Maintain up-to-date technical expertise and certifications across the product portfolio.
Work closely with the Group’s central engineering team to align design standards, exchange knowledge, and jointly provide technical expertise for major projects.
Obtain technical updates from vendors and transfer this knowledge to local teams and partners.
Participate in vendor events, technical webinars, and training sessions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of partner engineers trained and certified.
Number of workshops and presales events delivered.
Number and quality of PoCs completed.
Volume of the sales pipeline supported from a technical perspective, with no individual responsibility for margin.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in data center infrastructure design or implementation, working for a systems integrator, distributor, or vendor.
Strong engineering expertise in at least two of the following three areas:
Server infrastructure: x86 platforms.
Storage systems: SAN/NAS, all-flash storage, object storage.
Data center networking: L2/L3, routing, network fabrics, SDN.
Experience with enterprise-class storage systems on any vendor platform.
Understanding of related technologies, including virtualization (VMware, KVM), operating systems (Linux, Windows Server), backup solutions, and fundamental cybersecurity principles.
Experience preparing technical documentation, including BoMs, HLDs/LLDs, and tender responses.
Public speaking experience, including technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions.
Willingness to travel across the countries where Elcore operates.
Russian: Fluent.
English: B2 or above, sufficient for technical documentation, vendor training, and regional collaboration.
Georgian: An advantage.

Nice to Have

Professional- or expert-level vendor certifications in server infrastructure, storage, or data center networking.
Experience delivering partner certification and training programs.
Experience working on projects across multiple countries in the region.
Experience working with Georgian systems integrators and enterprise customers in banking, telecommunications, or the public sector.
