LLC “AS Georgia” is recruiting a Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO) for a leading construction and real estate development group operating in Georgia.
The Group CFO will be responsible for defining and executing the Group’s financial strategy, ensuring strong financial governance, capital discipline, and long-term value creation across all entities within the Group.
This is a key executive leadership role, partnering directly with founders and senior management to shape financial direction, optimize capital allocation, and support sustainable growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Strategy & Value Creation
- Define and lead the Group’s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives;
- Drive long-term value creation through strategic planning, investment analysis, and capital allocation;
- Evaluate growth initiatives, acquisitions, and strategic expansion opportunities;
- Lead finance transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Performance Management & Planning
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning;
- Monitor Group-wide financial performance and key business indicators;
- Provide actionable insights to executive leadership to support strategic decision-making;
- Ensure robust financial modelling and scenario planning capabilities.
Financial Governance & Control
- Ensure integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting;
- Maintain strong internal controls and IFRS compliance;
- Oversee internal and external audit processes and regulatory compliance;
- Safeguard financial discipline across all Group entities.
Treasury & Capital Management
- Manage liquidity, cash flow, and treasury operations across the Group;
- Optimize capital structure, working capital, and financing arrangements;
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions;
- Support fundraising and debt management activities.
Risk Management & Systems
- Identify and manage financial, operational, and compliance risks across the Group;
- Strengthen risk management frameworks and internal controls;
- Lead modernization and standardization of financial systems and ERP platforms;
- Promote data-driven financial decision-making.
Tax Strategy & Tax Risk Management
- Oversee Group-wide tax planning and tax strategy to ensure efficiency and compliance across all entities;
- Identify and manage tax risks, exposures, and optimization opportunities;
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and international best practices;
- Coordinate with external advisors and authorities on complex tax matters;
- Support tax structuring for investments, transactions, and corporate reorganizations.
Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) & Project Finance Management
- Oversee evaluation, approval, and monitoring of all major capital expenditure projects;
- Ensure robust financial assessment and feasibility analysis of large-scale investments and construction projects;
- Support structuring and execution of project financing arrangements where applicable;
- Monitor return on investment (ROI) and financial performance of capital projects;
- Ensure disciplined allocation of capital in line with strategic priorities.
Financial Policies & Governance Framework
- Develop, implement, and maintain Group-wide financial policies, procedures, and governance standards;
- Establish clear approval matrices and delegation of authority (DOA) across the Group;
- Ensure consistent application of financial rules and governance principles across all entities;
- Safeguard financial discipline through structured control frameworks;
- Continuously enhance financial governance maturity across the organization.
Cost Management & Margin Optimization
- Oversee cost control frameworks across all business units and entities;
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvement;
- Monitor gross and operating margin performance across the Group;
- Support business units in implementing profitability improvement initiatives;
- Ensure alignment of cost structures with strategic and operational objectives.
Finance Leadership
- Lead and develop Group finance teams across all entities;
- Standardize financial processes and reporting frameworks across the Group;
- Strengthen finance function capability and organizational maturity;
- Drive a high-performance, accountable finance culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration;
- MBA and/or ACCA, CPA, CFA (or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and leadership roles;
- Minimum 5 years in CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent executive position;
- Experience in multi-entity or holding structures is essential;
- Background in construction, infrastructure, or real estate is an advantage.
Competencies
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen;
- Proven executive leadership and stakeholder management skills;
- Deep expertise in IFRS, treasury, and financial governance;
- Strong decision-making and analytical capability;
- High execution focus with results-driven mindset.
