Human Resource Recruitment Agency is seeking to recruit suitable individual for the position of IT Support Assistant
Hired person will be assigned to work for non-commercial international financial organization.
Purpose
The IT Support Assistant will help ensure effective and efficient performance of information and communications technology (ICT) services to implement the delivery of technical and administrative IT support.
He/she will provide support to IT Department (ITD) on technical matters, and on the installation, operation and maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the expected duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in ensuring the smooth running of ICT services, such as user support, local network infrastructure, telecommunications, internet connectivity, printing, server systems and IT room facilities, end-user IT equipment.
- Monitors and reports to ITD on progress of installations, maintenance, enhancements, and upgrades to ICT services, systems, infrastructure, and facilities in coordination with ITD. Assists ITD to ensure cybersecurity measures.
- Assist in transitioning IT users to use the IT service desk portal and IT service desk as 1st level IT support. Coordinates the escalations to the IT service desk, ensuring the timely and appropriate delivery of ICT support and requests.
- Assistance in local deskside support, troubleshooting, resolution of routine hardware and software issues, and IT support for videoconferences, meetings, events, and HQ missions.
- Compiles IT requirements, issues and opportunities for improvement. Provides feedback on the IT perspective to ITD.
- Provides inputs to adoption and change management plans and participates in their execution as needed. Provides feedback on user adoption.
- Assists and supports IT users on appropriate channels to receive user training on standard applications when required, including guidance on data security, integrity and confidentiality.
- Assists Associate IT Officer (AITO) in monitoring local IT equipment and asset inventory, ensuring accurate and timely updates to IT asset records. Supports the effective distribution of IT equipment to local staff.
- Coordinates ICT needs with ITD and assists AITO in the procurement of ICT services and equipment, particularly in gathering fair market value cost estimates and dealing with IT service providers and equipment suppliers in accordance with procurement procedures and standards.
- Assists AITO on coordination with local IT vendors on the delivery of goods and services, to help ensure receiving qualified services.
- Provide support on business continuity and disaster recovery processes and procedures. Works with ITD on improving overall IT resilience.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned and reflected in the incumbent’s responsibilities.
Qualifications:
IT User Support must possess the following qualifications:
- Must be a college graduate preferably with a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related courses.
- Must have 2-4 years of experience as an IT technical support engineer, field support engineer or related functions and preferably with experience related to technical support for mobility equipment such as smartphones, tablets and notebook computers.
- Must possess advanced troubleshooting knowledge and skills in O365, Windows, iOS, Android, Mac OS, etc.
- Must possess excellent written and oral English communication skills. Georgian language-native.
- Preferably have knowledge on PowerApps development.
- Preferably have experience in Multinational/International Finance Institutions.
