Ovogene Sakartvelo is seeking a Country Manager
About the Company
IVF Georgia is part of the Ovogene international reproductive medicine group, a global organization focused on fertility treatment, embryology, and donor programs.
Ovogene operates internationally and works with patients from Europe, the United States, and Asia. The group is known for creating the world’s first AI-powered egg donor bank and for developing modern fertility clinics and laboratories across multiple countries.
Our clinic in Tbilisi is currently expanding its IVF laboratory and building a strong embryology team. We are looking for a motivated specialist who would like to start or develop a career in embryology and reproductive medicine.
Role Purpose
The Country Manager is responsible for the end-to-end operational management of the Tbilisi location, which combines: clinical operations, production activities, team leadership, financial discipline, compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Location Operations Management
- Full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of both the clinic and the production site.
- Design, implement, and oversee efficient workflows across medical, production, administrative, and support functions.
- Ensure stable, uninterrupted operations across all areas of the location.
Team Management
- Direct management of local managers and key personnel.
- Oversight of headcount, role structure, and areas of responsibility.
- Collaboration with HR on onboarding, performance management, engagement, and discipline.
- Building and developing a strong local management team.
Finance & Performance
- Control of the location budget, operational costs, and profitability.
- Participation in P&L planning in collaboration with HQ.
- Oversight of clinic revenue and Ovogene production performance.
- Cost optimization while maintaining high quality standards.
Clinical & Production Processes
- Coordination with the clinic’s Medical Director.
- Ensuring fulfillment of Ovogene production plans.
- Oversight of logistics, resources, equipment, and inventory.
- Ongoing collaboration with Ovogene’s international teams.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with Georgian local legislation.
- Oversight of adherence to quality standards, SOPs, and ISO requirements (in collaboration with Quality & Compliance teams).
- Preparation for and support of audits, inspections, and partner visits.
Communication with HQ
- Regular reporting to the central management team.
- Participation in strategic operational decision-making.
- Local implementation of HQ initiatives and standards.
Required
- Proven experience in operations, country, or site management (healthcare, manufacturing, life sciences, or service-based industries).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Solid financial understanding at budget and P&L level.
- Experience working within an international organizational structure.
Nice to Have
- Background in healthcare, IVF, pharmaceuticals, or biotech.
- Experience launching or scaling operational locations.
- Experience with ISO and quality management systems.
- Fluent professional English.
