ABOUT THE ROLE
World Vision Georgia is excited to offer an unpaid internship opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in Human Resources.
The intern will be integrated into day-to-day HR operations — spanning recruitment, employee administration, payroll support, and policy processes — under the guidance of the P&C Manager. The role is designed as an active, contributing placement rather than a passive observational experience.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- We're looking for someone who is genuinely curious about people and organisations, and who sees this internship as a real step toward building a career in Human Resources — not just a line on a CV.
- The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, pays attention to detail, and is eager to learn and grow professionally. We value reliability, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- If you are organised, dependable, and ready to fully commit to a 6-month placement — we'd love to hear from you.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern will actively contribute to the following areas:
- Recruitment Support
- Review and shortlist candidate CVs in line with role requirements
- Prepare structured interview forms and evaluation materials
- Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews
- Participate in interview sessions where appropriate
- Draft offer letters and communicate outcomes to candidates
HR Documentation & Administration
- Support the review and update of Job Descriptions and HR policies
- Prepare employment contracts and contract extensions under manager guidance
- Create and maintain electronic personnel files; ensure accurate and timely document filing
Payroll & Timesheet Management
- Assist in preparing payroll calculations and payment forms
- Support timesheet administration, including cross-checking and verification
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
Through this placement, the intern will gain exposure to the following areas of HR practice:
Hands-on recruitment experience, covering CV screening, interview coordination, and offer management
Practical understanding of the Georgian Labour Code and its application within an organisational context
Practical exposure to payroll preparation, including calculation of gross and net salaries, applicable tax deductions, and compliance with statutory payroll requirements
Proficiency in core HR administrative systems, documentation standards, and filing practices
Exposure to HR policy development and job design processes
Upon successful completion of the internship, the intern will be equipped with practical HR competencies and documented professional experience within the P&C team.
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a professional career in Human Resources
- Bachelor's degree or current enrolment as a final-year student in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field
- Fluent written and spoken communication in both Georgian and English
- Proficiency in MS Office — particularly Word and Excel
- Basic AI literacy and openness to using AI-powered tools in day-to-day work
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new processes, and demonstrate a proactive approach to professional development
- Curiosity, strong analytical thinking, and the capacity to grasp new concepts efficiently
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a collaborative working attitude
- Familiarity with the Georgian Labour Code (considered a strong asset)
The intern is expected to maintain a professional attitude, uphold confidentiality standards, and actively engage in all assigned tasks throughout the duration of the placement.
