Grant Thornton Georgia is looking for an experienced Senior Tax Advisor to join the Business Process Solutions (BPS) Department.
The Senior Tax Advisor will act as the department's tax expert, ensuring that client projects are implemented in compliance with Georgian tax legislation, identifying and mitigating tax risks, supporting project teams with practical solutions, and maintaining a high standard of technical knowledge across the department.
This position requires close cooperation with managers, consultants and client representatives, combining technical expertise with strong communication and advisory skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review ongoing BPS projects and identify potential tax risks before they become compliance issues;
- Provide practical tax advisory support to project teams during accounting, reporting and financial management engagements;
- Participate in complex client projects requiring advanced tax analysis and recommendations;
- Communicate directly with client representatives regarding tax matters and proposed solutions;
- Support managers and consultants in resolving complicated tax issues arising during service delivery;
- Monitor changes in Georgian tax legislation and assess their impact on client portfolios;
- Prepare technical tax opinions, recommendations and internal guidance documents;
- Develop internal tax methodologies, checklists and best practices for the BPS Department;
- Organize and deliver internal tax trainings, workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions;
- Support continuous professional development of consultants by explaining practical application of tax legislation;
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Audit;
- Strong knowledge of Georgian tax legislation and accounting principles;
- At least 5 years of professional experience in tax advisory, accounting or tax consulting;
- Practical experience in identifying and resolving complex tax issues;
- Experience communicating directly with clients and government authorities;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent command of Georgian and English languages; Russian is considered an advantage;

SALARY: GEL 3,700 – 4,300
