Orchard, Fermentation & Distillation Manager – Lagodekhi, Kakheti
Axatya Investment is developing a craft distillery and orchard in Heretiskari (Lagodekhi): apple and pear eau-de-vie, cider vinegar and apple-based products. We are looking for a hands-on professional to run the alcohol production side, from orchard to bottle.
Responsibilities
- Orchard care: pruning, irrigation, disease monitoring (scab), harvest timing
- Fruit reception, sorting, washing, crushing and pressing
- Fermentation management: Brix, temperature and pH monitoring, sulfite and yeast handling
- Pot-still / column distillation: heads–hearts–tails cuts, quality control
- Cleaning, hygiene and daily production records
- Supervision of 2–3 workers during the season
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in winemaking, distillation, fruit growing or food production
- Technical understanding of fermentation and distillation
- Rigorous, autonomous, able to follow protocols and keep records
- Georgian required; English, Russian or French is a plus
- Driving licence B
We offer
- Salary 2,000–2,600 GEL (net) + performance bonus
- Full-time, permanent contract; 6 days/week during harvest (Sept.–Dec.)
- Opportunity to build a new production line from the ground up
