Position Summary
The EHS Engineer is fully responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the project's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management systems at the wind power construction site in Georgia. This role ensures unconditional compliance with the Organic Law of Georgia on Labor Safety, Ministry protocols, international standards, and the corporate governance regulations of Infinite Energy LLC.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all day-to-day site construction activities to ensure strict adherence to Georgian safety laws, technical ordinances, and risk control parameters.
- Formulate, upgrade, and enforce the Project Site EHS Plan, Emergency Preparedness and Response Protocols, and Site Environmental Management Plans (SEMP).
- Execute rigorous safety checkouts, site inspections, and Job Safety Analyses (JSA), delivering formal non-conformance notices and tracking subcontractor remedial actions.
- Coordinate and mandate comprehensive EHS induction, routine toolbox talks, and technical high-risk safety training (e.g., working at heights, crane lifting, heavy currents) for all site personnel.
- Lead detailed forensic investigations for any site accidents, near-miss events, or environmental deviations; deliver regulatory incident reviews and implement preventive measures.
- Act as the primary interface with local Georgian regulatory bodies, including the Labor Inspection Office under the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.
Qualifications & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- 3+ years of verified EHS site management experience directly within large-scale wind power projects, substation infrastructure, or complex energy EPC assets.
- Must hold a valid, unexpired Certified Labor Safety Specialist credential formally recognized and accredited by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.
- Exemplary command of the Organic Law of Georgia on Labor Safety and regional legal environmental appraisal frameworks.
- Fluency in English and/or Russian language and Georgian (statutory local communication). Basic proficiency in Chinese preferred.
