Position Summary
The Secondary Electrical Engineer is tasked with the Electrical engineering, configuration management, and final grid integration of the wind farm's secondary networks. This encompasses substation automated protective relaying, SCADA control systems, telecom networks, revenue metering, and full dispatch telemetry linking to the Georgian national grid grid control.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and optimize schematic control architecture, protective wiring manuals, interlocking logic tables, and layout plans for all protection and automation panels.
- Calculate and determine protective relay settings (covering line protection, transformer differential schemes, busbar configurations) and direct logical configuration maps.
- Electrical , test, and program Substation Automation Systems (SAS), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Remote Terminal Units (RTU) under strict adherence to IEC 61850 data networking protocols.
- Coordinate telemetry channels, fiber-optic communication rings, and remote telecommunication architectures directly with the Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE) dispatch hierarchy.
- Diagnose operational faults within secondary equipment and lead on-site relay testing, cold/hot commissioning loops, and synchronization procedures for grid interconnection.
Qualifications & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering, Control Systems and Automation, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent technical major.
- 3 to 5+ years of active field experience specializing in protection relay calculation, secondary engineering Electrical , or high-voltage SCADA system commissioning.
- Exemplary knowledge of the IEC 61850 protocol and real-world exposure to mainstream industrial hardware providers (e.g., NARI, Siemens, ABB, NR Electric).
- Familiarity with the Georgian Grid Code, explicitly regarding telemetry dispatch rules and communication reliability indices.
- Excellent command of professional English. Conversational or professional command of Chinese is highly preferred.
