Position Summary
The Senior Business Manager leads the legal-commercial framework for the Company's wind power project in Georgia, overseeing full-cycle EPC contract management, procurement operations, and strategic government relations with ministerial entities to safeguard corporate financial and commercial interests. This role manages and administers a comprehensive business services program in strict accordance with corporate policy, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and applicable labor agreements, ensuring efficient support for wind farm operations and optimized regional portfolio performance. By integrating contract governance, supply chain oversight, and stakeholder engagement, the position drives commercial risk mitigation and operational excellence across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and police the prime EPC contract, complex subcontracts, and primary equipment procurement treaties under international bespoke framework conditions.
- Formulate and drive commercial variation defenses, claim dispute resolutions, and formal correspondence regarding project schedule extensions (EOT) or financial compensation.
- Cultivate and maintain critical joint interfaces with high-level external stakeholders, including the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, local Municipalities, and the Revenue Service.
- Oversee project fiscal risk mitigation, tracking updates in Georgian corporate statutes, double-taxation treaties, import customs codes, and renewable energy subsidy models.
- Collaborate with internal and external legal counsels to guarantee that all localized vendor agreements and commercial vehicles strictly adhere to the Law of Georgia on Entrepreneurs.
Qualifications & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, International Finance, Commercial Law, or a relevant Engineering discipline paired with extensive commercial qualifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of senior-level commercial management or international business development experience within major energy, infrastructure, or industrial EPC mega-projects.
- Proven experience in business negotiations, with demonstrated ability to secure favorable terms and build long-term partnerships.
- Deep comprehension of Georgia's macro-economic environment, corporate governance frameworks, Laws and regulations.
- Outstanding negotiation and boardroom presentation capacity in English. Professional mastery of Chinese is a powerful asset.
