The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is announcing an internship position under the Project: VET in Georgia’s Growth Sectors

Location: Tbilisi, Georgia
Title of position: Paid internship
Duration of employment: 6 months (01.10.2026 – 31.03.2027)

Brief information about the Project
  • The Project “VET in Georgia’s Growth Sectors” is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, acting on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
  • The Project “VET in Georgia’s Growth Sectors” belongs to the BMZ 2030 Core Area - sustainable economic development, training and employment. The objective of this Project is to improve employment prospects in selected sectors of the Georgian economy, and it covers four outputs:
  • Strengthening the institutional capacities of the institutions mandated to steer the VET system.
  • Expanding the initial training courses (dual and cooperative) in the selected sectors in line with the companies' demand.
  • Expanding the training and advisory services for companies in the selected sectors.
  • Strengthening the role of the organised private sector as a representation of interests including matters of employment and private sector development.

The main tasks of the national intern are the following:

Meetings, trainings and events support
Supporting face-to-face and virtual meetings, trainings and events, relevant processes from planning to evaluation: invitations, assistance with the technical equipment, participant list, agenda, presentations, registration, support of participants, etc.
Support documentation of meetings, training and events.

Monitoring & Evaluation; Data management
  • Support various M&E tasks
  • Assistance with evaluation surveys, statistical analysis and data processing
  • Supporting M&E reporting and documentation.

Team assistance
  • Analysis of various documents
  • Assistance with research activities
  • Support in using digital tools and formats
  • Preparation of translations (Georgian – English – Georgian)

Required qualifications, competences and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. education, international relations/ development, economics, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn and take a deep dive in vocational education and private sector development in order to enhance your skills.
  • Passionate, curious and open-minded to work in an international team, we are looking for a solution-orientated, well-structured team player.
  • Good working knowledge of computer applications (e.g. MS Office, profound Excel skills, fundamentals of data management)
  • Georgian on a mother tongue level, fluent written and oral knowledge of English. German language skills are an asset.
