HEKS/EPER (www.eper.ch) works in development cooperation in 30 countries around the world. In the South Caucasus we support local initiatives of partner organizations in the field of rural development, income generation and peace building.

The HEKS/EPER office South Caucasus is currently recruiting a Finance/Admin Assistant.

Job location: Tbilisi.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance

  • Assist the Finance Manager in maintaining an office financial system in accordance with HEKS/EPER policies and procedures.
  • Calculate, organize everyday financial transactions in the HEKS/EPER Office.
  • Submit monthly and annual declarations for taxes accordingly.
  • Keep the cash book.

 

Administration

  • Ensure that all documents are sent, received, copied, translated and filed in a manner consistent with the established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the proper use and maintenance of the head office equipment and office supplies, bringing any problems to the attention of the Finance Manager. Update office supply according the needs of the head office and ensure that HEKS/EPER capital asset inventory information is recorded.
  • Ensure that time sheets for HEKS/EPER office staff are accurately filled out and signed by the supervisors during the pay period for national staff and submit completed time sheets to the Regional director.
  • Ensure that logbooks are accurately filled in and are used in the car. Spot-check mileage for accuracy. Prepare monthly vehicle reconciliation and submit completed form to the Finance Manager.
  • Provide support to HEKS/EPER office staff in organizing and conducting consultants’ and partners’ visits, trainings and meetings.

 

The employee may be asked to perform duties and tasks not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other areas when necessary.

 

Profile

  • Degree in finance or a related field
  • Very good command (oral and written) of Georgian and English languages
  • Working experience in an international development organization would be an asset.
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment, building effective working relationships.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Is a team player with a positive "can do" attitude.
