BACKGROUND & JUSTIFICATION

MAC Georgia is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation established in 2008 with the purpose to improve the lives of Georgia’s vulnerable groups by providing the resources and services they need to achieve their full potential. 
Project Goal: 
The Project goal is to provide visuals that supplement information provided in an online training that aims to be clear, easy to follow,  engaging, and encourages learning. MAC seeks to expand the number of individuals who are able to access MAC’s training and improve their skills and knowledge in order to better serve and support persons with disabilities. We believe that by creating a dynamic, well-structured online training, we will be able to impact more school and kindergarten teachers, daycare staff, and other specialists who work with children. 

SCOPE OF WORK
    
MAC Georgia’s psychology and OT departments are providing ongoing training for specialists working with children with special needs. One of the directions to support specialists in the field is to create online training videos on various topics, which is available for free to the wider public through the Tbilisi State University online teaching portal. This Fall, the psychology and OT departments will create three new online courses: Behaviour Management; Independent Living Skills and Functional Rehabilitation; Sensory Integration Elements and Sensory Stimulation. 

 

Film maker’s tasks include: 

  • Meeting with psych and OT department representatives to discuss scripts
  • Go through scripts and approve that language is adjustable for the video
  • Do rehearsal meetings around script with psychologists and OTs
  • Do rehearsal for video shooting
  • Shoot psychologists training videos for 1 module (around 5-7 videos, each 5 to 10 minutes long)
  • Shoot OT training videos for 2 modules (around 15-20 videos, each 5 to 10 minutes long)
  • Shoot videos using word reader 
  • Edit videos, using visual material, pictures, texts provided by psychologists, OTs
  • Share first drafts of videos with team
  • Based on team comments make additional changes in editing
  • Share final draft of videos with team for final approval

Time & Duration: The filmmaker should start on the 15th of October , 2022 and must be finished no later than the 15h of April, 2023  (6 months in total). 
Location and Workload: Tbilisi

REMUNERATION AND ENTITLEMENT


Interested candidates should submit a financial proposal, indicating their gross desired daily rate, including all applicable taxes and payments as per the legislation of Georgia.

This position will have no entitlement to annual leave, sick leave, maternity, adoption, paternity leave, or any other kind of special leave. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


Education: 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Visual Media and Production, Communications, or a related field;

 

Experience: 

  • At least 2 years of experience shooting and creating film/video;
  • Prior experience of creating educational video material;
  • Demonstrated portfolio of visual media products;


Language Requirements:  

  • Fluency in Georgian is required; knowledge of English is an asset;

Note: Possession or ability to acquire equipment and tools needed for the service provision with no extra cost to MAC will be considered to be an asset.
