Location: Tbilisi, Georgia

Job Summary:

Front Office Manager is responsible to directly supervise all front office personnel and ensures proper completion of all front office duties. Directs and coordinates the activities of the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone areas. Prepare monthly reports and budget for front office department.

 

Education & Experience:

  •  High School diploma or equivalent and/or at least 3 years of progressive experience in a Front Office Management position, preferably in an international hotel
  •  Ability to guide and coach team members
  •  Excellent language skills
  •  Be familiar with the digital tools to better serve guests throughout the guest journey and have Fidelio PMS knowledge
  •  Excellent communication and customer contact skills
  •  Result driven and service oriented
  •  Excellent time management skills
  •  Be able to cope with stressful and conflict situations.
  •  Fluent English, Russian and Georgian knowledge is essential.

 

Physical Requirements:

  •  Long hours sometimes required.
  •  Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

  •  Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Marjan Plaza Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  •  Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  •  Comply with Marjan Plaza Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  •  Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  •  Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  •  Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  •  Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  •  Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  •  Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  •  Perform other duties as requested by management.

 

Fundamental Requirements:

  •  Supervise accurate and efficient FO operations
  •  Support Team Members in handling Guest requests and enquires to ensure a positive outcome
  •  Ensure a consistent, high level of customer service
  •  Drive sales revenues and promote hotel services and facilities for up-selling opportunities
  •  Understand and apply correct procedures
  •  Assist with the implementation and achievement of departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets and policies and procedures
  •  Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
  •  Ensure Team Members have current knowledge of all room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, local area and other general product knowledge necessary to perform their duties
  •  Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics to inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards
  •  Act in accordance with the front of house equipment and the property management systems
  •  Conduct training programs on an ongoing basis
  •  Carry out shift handovers and brief team members as required
  •  Follow company brand standards
  •  Assist other departments, as necessary, and maintain good working relationships with hotel Team Members
