Hotel Tiflis Palace is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Front Office Manager.

Job description:

  • Achieve guest satisfaction and rooms revenue goals by supervising the Front Office operations
  • Ensure that Front Office is staffed according to need by utilizing business forecast to schedule employees
  • Oversee and participate in the prompt and courteous check-in and check-out of guests
  • Keep effective key control and participates in matters relating to customer room security
  • Welcome the guests, take account of the established standards (choice of suitable rooms, completion of bookings and entry into the computer, handover of the room pass and the key, safeguarding payment, luggage organization).
  • Contribute to the hotel by sharing new ideas and suggestions for improvements; be innovative and creative to provide a quality service and guest care
  • Maintain regular contact with frequent guests and all important guests of the Hotel
  • Maintain tidiness in the building and clothing in the department
  • Control open and closed dates, availability and condition of rooms
  • Address questions and problems regarding guest room accommodations and rates, both situational and written.  Develop strategies to improve them
  • Control and analyze departmental costs on an ongoing basis, take action to control negative deviation
  • Monitor Front Office activities regarding discounts, billing instructions, and compliance with hotel credit policies
  • Analyze credit check report daily for possible doubtful accounts
  • Monitor the Front Office team’s overall service and teamwork daily and focus on how to improve and increase the efficiency of service delivery
  • Identify training needs and participate in development of the departmental training plan
  • Take part in the training of the Front Office staff appropriately and proactively
  • Participate in preparation of department budget and business plan; assure that the department operates within approved budget

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of previous supervisory experience in Front Office reception area
  • Outstanding flexibility - able to work under stress and pressure and reflect at all times, even under difficult conditions, a positive can-do attitude and the best image of the hotel
  • Available to operate early, late and night shifts as well as weekend work
  • Sales oriented with strong knowledge of hotel facilities and capabilities
  • Strong leader with exceptional organizational and customer care skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Georgian, English and Russian Languages and able to address any kind of information in an adequate manner
  • Knowledge of Fidelio Software for hotels
