Senior Accountant (m/f) in Tbilisi

We are looking for Senior Accountant for our emerging team in Tbilisi. High-level summary of responsibilities and requirements to the jobholder is provided below:

Responsibilities

• Accounting processes to be managed in compliance to IFRS, local and group financial accounting requirements
• Maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring all files/systems are up to date
• Performing and managing daily accounting and bookkeeping
• Keeping good track of changes in financial, fiscal, local regulations and legislation
• Communication with other departments internally and third party contractors
• Maintains list of vendors and timing relevant for reconciliation
• Effective intercompany process, recharges, reconciliation, communication keep all transactions aligned
• Oversees Month end, Quarter end, Year-end closure as well as monthly accruals and other report preparation and posting for month closing
• Reviews, advises and authorizes payment proposal as well as submits and confirms payment request to the bank; Processing invoice payments
• To manage routine of other accountants and outsourced tax & accounting service provider partners where necessary
• Controls and oversees billing process, implements control and checking mechanisms to ensure accuracy
• Analysing accounts, monitoring local and group ledgers, guaranteeing  all balances are reconciled
• Managing colleagues, workloads and deadlines
• Responsible on accounts and balances to be compliant to internal and external financial Audit. Supports audit process both internal and IFRS external
• Initiate upgrade and creation of required accounting policies and procedures
• Fixed asset register management

Requirements

• BA in finance or equivalent. ACCA/CIMA obtained or in progress
• Advanced knowledge of local fiscal legislation and IFRS is must
• Knowledge of accounting systems, ERPs
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, other computer programs at user level
• Fluent in English Language, German would be an advantage
• Strong reporting and analytical skills, attention to detail
• Working experience in similar role 3+ years
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• A methodical approach and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
