Chemonics seeks resumes for the anticipated USAID-funded Georgia Local Self-Government Strengthening Activity. This five-year, $10-25 million project intends to support Government of Georgia to implement its new Decentralization Strategy (2020-2025) and achieve meaningful local self-governance through increasing local government service delivery capacity and strengthening local accountability measures, such as social accountability interventions. The Activity will partner with stakeholders across the local governance ecosystem to deliver on Strategy objectives, including working directly with one-quarter to one-third of all Georgia local governments.

Chemonics seeks Georgian nationals for the following positions:

• Deputy Chief of Party
• Specialists in the following technical sectors:
  • Decentralization Policy Development and Implementation
  • Public Financial Management
  • Public Administration
  • Municipal Planning and Services
  • Community/Citizen Engagement
  • Institutional Capacity Building
  • Gender, Equality, and Social Inclusion
• Specialists in the following finance and administrative sectors:
  • Communications and outreach
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning and Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting 
  • Information Communications Technology
  • Environmental Compliance
  • Grants and Subcontracts
  • Finance
  • Administration

Qualifications:

• Professional experience and degree in the related field 
• Professional proficiency in English; fluency in Georgian
• Experience working on donor-funded development projects
• Knowledge of regulations related to U.S. government contracts preferred
